Why has logistics costs are expensive ?

Until now, Indonesia still using a land transportation for distribution of goods. That's why logistics cost in Indonesia is expensive. In fact, by using sea transport is more cheaper than using land or air transport. Therefore, Indonesia could reduce the use of land transport mode. Such as trucks and containers and then switch to the sea transport mode. As we know, Indonesia is an Archipelago. So, the government's policy must be integrated with the condition of infrastructure in this country especially in land transport has a lot of problem like an illegal tax.

4 Movement in Logistics, are:

• Movement of Goods
• Movement of Informations
• Movement of Money
• Movement of Products Return

3 Subject in the Business, are:

• Consumen 
• Manufacturing 
• Producen

So, the seven things above is so important for the continuation of logistic activities in Indonesia even the World.....

Procurement is the process of obtaining services from outside organizations. While, Procurement Management is processes that are conducted to obtain goods or services required by a project from outside the organization that it supports.

Objectives of Procurement are:

• To provide goods and services at low prices, high quality, and delivered in a fast time.
• To ensure that the procurement process is running smoothly, so that the required products and services can be obtained in the right time, in the right amount, in the right quality and the right price.

This procurement process will also help you to......

• Identify the goods and services to procure
• Complete Purchase Orders and issue to suppliers
• Agree on delivery timeframes and methods
• Receive goods and services from suppliers
• Review and accept the items procured
• Approve supplier payments

This Procurement Management Process will enable you to.....

• Identify supplier contract milestones
• Review supplier performance against contract
• Identify and resolve supplier performance issues
• Communicate the status to management

 Function of Procurement is:

• In order to be in line with the corporate strategy and business plans to ensure every activities and support to the right direction to be achieve the desire of the corporate.

This is in addition to the principles that must be done in order for the objectives and functions of procurement so that corporate can run very well.
